Sony has cut the price of DriveClub’s PlayStation Plus Edition Full Game Upgrade to £19.99 on PSN.
The game had until now been available for £34.99 to PS+ members, which is now the price of the full game to non PS+ members.
The Full Game Upgrade was initially designed to let those who had downloaded the free PS+ version of the game pay to access all of the content reserved for the full game.
However, the Free PS+ Edition remains missing in action, three months after the game’s release - although it is not required to run the Upgrade version.
The taster was to include ten cars and five tracks (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/ten-cars-and-five-tracks-included-in-free-ps-driveclub-edition-1080p-30fps-confirmed/0131848) from the full game. However, when DriveClub launched to significant technical problems fears arose that the free version would be delayed (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/driveclub-ps-plus-edition-might-not-be-ready-for-uk-launch-tomorrow/0139590). And it was – indefinitely (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/driveclub-ps-edition-postponed-until-further-notice/0140687) – and we’re yet to hear anything beyond vague assertions that the free version is still on both Evolution’s (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/evolution-wants-free-driveclub-ps-edition-out-as-soon-as-possible/0140000) and Sony’s (http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/sony-remains-committed-to-driveclub-ps-plus-edition/0140921) roadmap.
At least owners of the full game are now able to enjoy a fully functional title.
