Six brand new releases resulted in a brand-new chart-topping title in Japan last week.
According to the latest data provided by Famitsu, last week’s top dog Tales of Zestiria was knocked down to third place, as unit sales of the title fell by almost 300,000.
In its place sat Atlus’ latest entry in its Shin Megami Tensei series, Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker.
At number two came Ubisoft’s PS4 edition of open-world shooter Far Cry 4. The PS3 version sat in fifth.
Among the other new entries last week was Bandai Namco title Yowamushi Pedal: Asu eno High Cadence for 3DS, which sat just above fellow 3DS release Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire in sixth position.
The PS4 and PS3 releases of Koei Tecmo’s Bladestorm: Nightmare rounded out the Top Ten at numbers nine and ten, respectively. The games sold within 700 units of each other.
Over in the hardware chart, the rankings look very similar to last week.
One change is the rise of Sony’s PS4 console over its Vita handheld, becoming the second-best-selling hardware in Japan for the week.
The PS3, meanwhile, slipped below the Wii U in terms of sales.
