Software VP Craig Federighi revealed that the incoming OS will take up just 1.3GB of extra space on your iPhone or iPad, compared to nearly 4.6GB for the previous version. Given how much trouble folks had getting that update on their devices over-the-air, that's no doubt a smart move on Cupertino's part.
