Not a fan of the iPhone 6's (http://www.engadget.com/2014/09/16/iphone-6-and-6-plus-review/) less-than-flattering antenna lines? Neither is Apple, apparently. The company has filed for a patent (http://appft1.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO1&Sect2=HITOFF&d=PG01&p=1&u=/netahtml/PTO/srchnum.html&r=1&f=G&l=50&s1=20150167193.PGNR.) on a composite material that looks like anodized metal, but still allows wireless signals to get through. You'd get a cleaner-looking phone (or computer, or tablet) without watching your reception take a nosedive. It could be used to blend other surfaces into a device, too, such as the trackpad on a laptop.
