Just in time for today's launch of Samsung's consumer Gear VR (http://www.engadget.com/2015/11/20/samsung-gear-vr-new/), developer and publisher CCP (https://www.ccpgames.com/) is making
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JF2aruO5jAY available for the headset. The virtual reality game, powered by Unreal Engine 4 (http://www.engadget.com/2015/06/18/epic-games-unreal-engine-virtual-reality/), is an arcade shooter that takes places in the EVE sci-fi universe. Once you strap in, you'll play the role of a gun turret operator, with the goal being to protect your mothership from some menacing pirates. In an interview earlier this year (http://www.engadget.com/2015/08/21/ccp-gunjack-producer-on-mobile-virtual-reality/), Gunjack's producer told us that the title was different from Valkyrie, CCP's upcoming VR dogfighting simulator (http://www.engadget.com/2015/04/01/eve-valkyrie-vr-interview-preview/), as it required to be developed from the ground-up and with mobile gaming in mind. If you have your shiny new Gear VR (http://www.engadget.com/2015/09/24/new-gearvr-vr-is-consumer-ready/) all set up, you can grab Gunjack right now from the Oculus store for $10.
