Sony Europe has declined to comment on suggestions the latest PS3 firmware update will include the highly sought after XMB.

Its stayed silent when asked if the 2.40 update will be out in June as suggested by numerous reports today.

The upcoming firmware is also said to contain the Achievement-like Trophies, although reports suggest both these and the XMB will not work with all PS3 games, but will instead be an optional feature developers can choose to support or not.

The only official word on in-game XMB and firmware version 2.40 is that it will be out this "summer".

We have payed for our consoles.

When it is something to do with this, we do not want surprises. We want answers.

Sony can lick my arse.

If I am not mistaken... The US already got 2.40 and no there isn't In-Game-XMB.

I wish, however, Sony would get on the ****ing ball and get it out the door. Yeah I want Home too, but shit In-Game-XMB would make life A LOT EASIER.

And since the GTA IV soundtrack sucks complete balls, In-Game-XMB with Music access and playability is a damn must.

You are mistaken, the latest firmware is 2.35.
