Videogame and Console Birthdays

Gargoyle's Quest II
Released 26 years ago in Japan, for the Famicom. Which actually, is a sequel to a GameBoy game, that is actually a spin-off series from Ghosts 'n Goblins.

Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha
Released 21 years ago in Japan, for the PlayStation.

Banjo Kazooie
Released 20 years ago in the PAL territories, for the Nintendo 64. The first game, which every gaming magazine that covered the Nintendo 64, were calling the "Mario 64 beater" after originally doing so for Diddy Kong Racing and MArio Kart 64.

Banjo Kazooie, I remember playing that on a demo N64 a long time ago. In fact it was my first game I played on that console. Never got a chance to own one though so missed out on many great games that made it to Nintendo 64.

I remember seeing it in Nintendo Magazine (plus 64 Magazine, N64 Magazine, Games Master and CVG - pocket money well spent) and constantly showing my parents, which I must have behaved for a few days because my parents went out for a few hours on the evening of Banjo Kazooie's release date and when they returned, my dad gave me a small Dixons bag and I could immediately see the green side so I knew what it was... Banjo Kazooie!! But I had school the next day, so I only got to play it around two hours that night. But it was the only Nintendo 64 title that I got on it's release date, until Pokémon Stadium in April 2000 (nearly getting ran over on the way home from Woolworths - and that's a story for another post).
