I was skeptical just like you, but after reading it over and over again, I got the courage to do it. It is a long and risky process, but it works perfectly. Go for it, man!

I think it would be cool to have a 2.0 to 1.0? aren't there some benefits?

there is no update to 1.00 and therefor no downgrade to 1.00

well I know that much, I'm assuming someone along the line will be able to compile an update from some firmware dumps. I was just wondering the benefits of a 1.0, I have one of the US releases

Compiling means you make a binary out of the source. We don't have the source to the 1.0 firmware. It would also be illegal to posses.

wow guys, I'm not yelling at everybody to get on the ball, I just think somewhere along the line somebody will come up with some way to do it. it's not like it matters, 1.5 works fine.
