I just put a video up on the Dreamcast Junkyard Blog that compares the PS2 version of Metal Gear Solid to the Bleemcast version.

Very interesting...

It's a shame that Bleemcast was discontinued :/

How does it compare to the GameCube port?

Well the GameCube version is a remake while the bleemcast version is just emulating the psx version

Looks pretty good. I definitely don't think I'd make it a priority to get Bleemcast if I had a PS2 and a Dreamcast just to play Metal Gear Solid, though. The text is way sharper on the PS2, interestingly.

The PS2 (right side of the screen) looks better to me on that video. I used to have all those Bleem DC discs and I am pretty sure that Gran Turismo 2 looked better on the DC than on the PS2.

I guess I'm not seeing what others are, the PS2 version looked much more crisp and clear than the Bleemcast. Maybe it's my monitor settings, I don't know.

it only appears to me the colors are different.
much liek the assassin's creed PS3 vs 360 comparison.

but i do admit the text was sharper in PS2 version

was the DC version running off vga box (does bleemcast support vgabox?)
