Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed that BlizzCon will return as a virtual event in early 2021.
The publisher's annual event was cancelled (https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2020-05-27-covid-19-blizzcon-2020-cancelled) in May this year, due to the impact of the global spread of COVID-19.
At the time, Blizzard said (https://blizzcon.com/en-us/news/23434523) it was holding discussions to explore how BlizzCon could take place online, "far less impacted by the state of health and safety protocols for mass in-person gatherings."
