Sony pre-sold as many units of the PlayStation 5 in the US in the first 12 hours they were available as it did in the first 12 weeks for the PlayStation 4, according to Jim Ryan.
Speaking to Reuters (https://www.reuters.com/article/us-sony-playstation-5-idUSKBN27C2P5), Ryan described the demand via pre-order as "very, very considerable" in the lead-up to the November 12 launch of the console.
"It may well be that not everybody who wants to buy a PS5 on launch day will be able to find one," he added.
