Hi Chui,

I noticed in my other post your announcement that SNES4ALL will be coming to both DC and GP2X, which is great news. I was just wondering, do you have plans to port your other projects to GP2X? After playing a little with the PSP NGCD emulator, I think a GP2X port of NEO4ALL would be awesome.

Something else I wanted to ask, would you accept donations (bribes? ;) )? I'd gladly send you some cash if there was an RC release of DC NEO4ALL, or if you ported it to GP2X.

Thanks again, keep up the good work! :)

Yes, SNES4ALL's goal is a multiplatform SDL unix flavour snes9x for DC and GP2X. But i havent a GP2X for now and i don't know if i will can have one at future (maybe Franxis).

I've never received a donation and haven't a paypay or another donation system. But i will thank you if i could receive a Retro Gamers Magazine (http://livepublishing.co.uk/retro/) subscription or a single magazines. :D

Also, i want a Nintendo-DS or Atari-ST T-Shirt (http://www.cafepress.com/atari_st_bee) :D :D :D

They're not sending you a GP2X? The fools...

Unfortunately Retro Gamer is now dead:

...so I can't get you a subscription for that!

I'd buy you that t-shirt if you finished that new release of DC NEO4ALL :)
(with the improvements you mentioned here: http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=10697)

And if you do a FINAL DC version (where all games are playable, graphics errors fixed (Super Sidekicks, Riding Hero etc.), all games with working cd-audio, arcade stick functionality etc.) - then I'd gladly buy you a DS.

Interested? :D

All new NEO4ALL beta-3 improvements are implemented but now we try to solve a little screen resolution problem. Be patient, a few days you will can play with NEO4ALL beta-3.
Final version needs FAZE Z80 core for fast and exact sound, but 'Super Sidekicks 2' never runs with NEO4ALL because it uses raster render for video and it's not compatible with tile-caching.

I see, that's a shame. I guess we can't have it fast AND accurate on the DC.
I guess that's the same situation with Riding Hero too.

The sfx seem fine to me, maybe occasionally they're off but still very good. It would be nice if CD audio worked for all games, I guess this is a different bug and a separate process from the sfx engine?

Very much looking forward to the new version! Have you tried figuring out how to use Z+C on the arcade stick yet? That would be an excellent addition.

Oh and thanks again :)

Z80 emulation with mamez80 spends a lot of CPU.

And sorry, beta-3 haven't a control-submenu.

The sfx are actually way off in the base neocd program. I did a test of NeoDC with the newer more accurate version of the sound drivers (of which the z80 core has nothing to do with) and the sound was much different (and MUCH slower).

Neo4all uses gngeo source for sfx and now at beta3 same speed (autoframeskip) using normal z80 clocking than beta2 under z80 clocking . Many sfx problems fixed using normal z80 clocking.

the gngeo sfx are 99% the same as the ones in neocd because they are both based off mame .36, if you look at it, then you will see what i mean. i'm not saying the sound sounds bad, because it sounds correct, but compared to what it is supposed to sound like (according to mame .92 sources) all 4 emulators have it wrong. After mame .36 the whole ym2610 and fm drivers were rewritten in mame, and are now a lot more accurate and it shows. Try playing an MVS game in gngeo and in mame post-.70 and you should hear the difference.
