Useing a VPN in Europe

We have a Firestick and we would like to use it when we go to Spain and Portugal, if I download a VPN, i.e. Express VPN, will I be able to watch British TV? The site we stayed on for 3 months has a very strong WiFi signal, and everyone on the site is watching British TV.
