Pretty much what the title says. I have a program, but it doesn't do compression. There was a game that I had on my PSX that I really liked, and I lost the disk, but now I got it on my PC and I want to play it on my PSP. I only have a 2gb, which is mostly being taken up by my FFVII game, as well as a bunch of music, a movie, and plenty of homebrew, so I want a relatively small PSX eboot with lvl 9 compression. Can someone give me a link or a name of an app and version number that will best do this for me.

The program I have always used for this kind of stuff is PSX2PSP (a POPStation frontend GUI), specifically version 1.2.
I have a copy. I could send you a link via PM if you want it.

I tried using 1.4 of it, and it didn't seem to work. It didn't come with a read-me on how to fully use it, and I couldn't figure out how to compress stuff on it, if it was even possible.

Oh, and if it helps, I'm still using 3.40 OE-A

Did you make sure to put a copy of "Base.PBP" into the "files" folder?

Edit: forgot to mention that this front end is set to default to compression level 9

Use IceTea instead.

Thanks worked like a charm. Weird that it over-rode my custom boot vid for the Popstation bump

Google for the program 'IceTea v1.3' and click on some link,
or register on this forum:

Just for anyone who want to use something else other than popstation
