Over at freedo forum admin posted this (http://www.freedo.org/forum2/index.php?topic=1431.0)

Well -- it's decided then -- the project will be
released as open source. We'll host the SVN repository. Open as read only to everybody and as read/write to those who will decide to contribute.
The only question left -- what license should we be released under.
Please comment your choice.
The projects being released are :

* FreeDO
* IDE Adapter
* FPGA FreeDO

This can only be good news as the emulator to my knowledge hasn't been updated in a few years now!

FreeDO for DC -- buggy, and silent... alas -- no sound emulation.

:D

FreeDO for MacOSX -- it's complete, but for PowerPC platform only -- it runs painfully slow on intel macs with rosetta.

somewhat off topic here i thought 3DO had the Motorola chip in it. I know im wrong it was the Jaguar i dont know if its possible to emulate that on the Dreamcast or if anyone even cares to. The reason why im saying is the Jag didnt have very many popular games most of them already being on SNES,NES,N64 and Playstation. Well i guess i could be asking if Jaguar was possible to emulate?

Do it now! I want some great 3DO games on my Dreamcast! I used to have the FZ1 and like 80 games for it! Man I loved that system.

Starfighter for the 3d0 was my favorite game. You could shoot holes in mountains!

Lets hope Chui takes a look at this, as he seems to be our best bet for a working port.
