Fuzzy's project had now hit a milestone, by releasing a demo. Super Smash brothers Rumble, The 21th Smash brother clone in my map
Is another SSB clone. Very impressive and functional, but just a warning though, dont spruce your expectations too much again.

If I remember correctly he was using libnds but somehow it looks PAlib. Anybody know what language he is using?

Here's a rundown on what I see so far:
-3D stage, 2D character
-Mario only
-No nice hit effects like the real game
-Low-frame animations

Otherwise this is pretty nice.

I played the full 10 minutes of it, and i loved it! :D

however, I have two qualms that I do believe is crucial for the game If its to be more...fair.

1.reaction time: mario should have time to recover from throwing a punch, and to also be open should he miss and not be able to just throw another punch just as fast.

2.the special: you can move it, and essentially, it pretty cheap, play on map 1, move mario over to the right side of the map and continuously use the spin special until your opponent gets to about 200% or so. you'll see what I mean.

other than that, this has to be the best homebrew smash bros attempt yet, and eagerly await any future renditions.

HA!!! This is pretty good!!

I love the menu!! I just hope the actual gameplay with improve. Cause right now it doesn't look very promising.

I will be waiting for an update. (if that will ever happen)

Demo number two has been released!
Surprise~
Well.. bad timing a sunday evening, buuuut~
it's way better with sound ;P

Yes, a new demo !
With sound/music!
and that coinjump... ("up" + "b")

Because of a small backgrundmusic bug that i wasn't able to fix yet, there's a max 4 min roundtime limit.
so.. here it is:

As announced earlier now fat support is requiered, maybe you need to dldli patch the rom, no idea. It runs well on my R3 Simply^^

hope you like it^^

Awesome job.
Demo v2 with music is sweet too.

Great job with the music... I suggest working on more characters though. The physics engine is pretty good, though the AI is so slow I seem to never get hit, so I can't really tell how bad flinching is.

If you want to make it awesome, you'll have to add in stuff like grabs, and priority when it comes to attacks, too. Really, this is the best I've seen so far. Please don't disappoint!

Almost forgot! I played a 4 minute match and went back to the first menu then back into Solo mode and the background music seemed to get faster... I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but it seemed a little off to me.

My only advice, ignore everyones comments at this point and take your time. Nobody on these forums really ever knows how difficult it is to release a game like this.
If you got a few items, characters and more maps in this could be sold as a real game, so just ignore everyone else asking you to hurry up or saying there isn't enough yet.

...But... that's what you're saying, basically. >_>
