I know I said there wouldn't be another release for a bit longer than usual since I am back to work tomorrow..... but I looked into the problem with the Wolf3D CD files not working and fixed it.

So now you can use your original files from the Wolf3D CD version.

Again, make sure there is no CONFIG.WL6 file in the folder or it will cause the game to crash.

Also if you start up the game and the music is playing but your only getting a black screen with the ms light blinking... This means that your savegame is being loaded.

Note : This wont run the files from the wolf3d floppy disk version. It is only for the CD version.

I am working on the new menu system and adding a menu where you select which game you want to load on boot, to save having 4 eboots ;)

Whats the difference between the cd version of the game and the floppy dos version? Do you get new content or just compatibility

None as far as I am aware.

It's just for people who own the CD version of the game and want to use there own files as opposed to using illegal ones from the net ;)

I reiterate it as well, Thank you so much for this update! Can't wait for what you release next! You truly bring hope to the PSP community when it was slow again with releases for us Homebrew lovers!

There's a secret extra 10th level in the first episode on the CD files that isn't available in the DOS files. (There might be more extra levels but I'm not sure.)

You can also get Wolfenstein 3D off Steam. It emulates it via a modified DOSBox but it may include the CD files. I'm not exactly sure to be honest.

Anyway, for anyone else...I made some custom icons for my own use. If anyone wants to use em, here are the links. (I used PBP Unpacker.)

I made you a nice Icon0 and Pic1 if you want to use them.

The Icon0 was created using box art from one of the versions of the game.
The Pic1 was created from taking the title screen and merging it with a screenshot in photoshop to make it the correct size for the PSP screen.

I think we can all agree that this is 'spam' we're very happy to receive. :)

Nice work on the eboot art Buddy4point0 :)
I like how you extended the wall to the left, which makes the icon list fit nicely as well as fitting the image to the PSPs screen.

i have some problem with this port..

one of them the sound ... i hear very ugly sound an the acually release dont work.. it hangs on the start screen. I use my original wolfenstein 3d cd...any idea ?

Sound is being worked on , have patience :)

In the current unreleased build the sound is nigh on perfect. :cool:

Make sure there is no Config.wl6 file in the folder.

Also make sure you press a button once you see the wolf3d title screen. Sometimes if you let it go beyond that screen it can freeze and not let you into the menu.

Update

Turns out I am off work today too :)

I got the loader working :), So now its just a matter of polishing it up.

Want me to release a new version with the game select loader when its done?
