[Info]Wolf 3D Port V4.5 Supports Expansion packs (Sod)!

Sorry to keep posting news all the time :(

I just tested the Spears Of Destiny Expansion packs in "Wolf3D V4.5 Spear Of Destiny Full Version" and they both work perfectly.

So yeah, the port now supports every version of Wolf3S & every expansion pack made for Wolf3d :D

Q) How to use the expansion packs?

A) Just replace the .sod files from the expansion pack with the ones that you have in the folder already.

Note : Make sure there is no CONFIG.WL6 file in the folder. It causes the game to crash.

Never even bothered to even try doing that. It's great that it works, I'll just wait for your game select menu so I don't have to offload and upload files. I'll be moving in October and won't have access to a computer during that month. A game selector is key :)! Know your working on it and thanks for the update that the expansion packs work :)! Thanks for all your efforts in getting this port perfected!

Heh, don't worry, the game select menu support will be added a lot sooner than October :D

I noticed that this says that V4.5 supports Expansion packs when the newest version of Wolf3d you have released is V4.6 in this (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=118868&page=2) thread. Does the newest version support expansion packs as well?
I can't try this until I fix my PSP but I think it needs to be cleared up for everyone else.

I actually think it doesn't matter which one you use, but maybe Zack can clear it up. I think there might be a bit of confusion until his menu comes out, then we can select the original Wolfenstein, SoD, Episodes, and maybe mod support *hint,hint Zack*;)!

Неllo! sorry for bad English :) . I'm from Russia. Thank to Zack for porting such a great game to psp, I played on it more than 10 years ago and it was a wonderful time :D
I tried port of wolf3d and it works great on my psp fat 3-71m33-4. But when I tried to play spear of destiny on version port for SOD I have only main menu screen and than psp freeze... only help - reboot with replacing battery. If I tried on wolf3d version 4.5 (with SOD support) or on 4.6 version (for wolf3dCD) I come back to game menu of psp just after boot port. What I do wrong? maybe my files of SOD is incorrect? I have such version sizes:
AUDIOHED.SOD 1 072
AUDIOT.SOD 328 620
GAMEMAPS.SOD 68 290
Maphead.sod 402
VGADICT.SOD 1 024
VGAGRAPH.SOD 947 979
VGAHEAD.SOD 510
VSWAP.SOD 1 616 544
all files have date 28.09.1992.
In XP on PC and DosBOX on psp this version works good (but not too fast on dosbox on psp :) )
So where is problem?
I tried sheraware version of SOD - it work fine, but files of full version don't work with that eboot.
Please help me solve this small problem :)

Info :

At the moment, yes it does matter which version you use.

Spear of destiny expansion packs will only work with the v4.5 spear of destiny version.

v4.6 is only for wolf3d full verison cd files.

I am making a loader so you can pick which you want to load on boot to save this confusion :)

I tried you file again (maybe previous download with errors), but result not so good: I saw blue screen with number, than screen with "spear if destiny" - tower, then main menu and in 1 second - freeze psp... no one button work. (and get out battery again). One more try - and I did one movement in main menu - cursor on second option and then freeze.... :confused: Third try - In main menu I tried push start or X. Result - freeze.
What is wrong? I have fat1004 with 3.71m33-4 on it. maybe some plug in can do it? Or I have to upgrade my firmware?

I have no any config file in game folder on psp. But it still freeze. Today I will try you new version. Thanks you! :)
