FBA4PSP - NeoGeo, CPS1, CPS2 Emulator for PSP

Hmm now heres an odd one, i found yesterday a release of a Final Burn Port to PSP by Mctuna and yes its very real and on GXmod (http://mobiles.gx-mod.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=8085) they have posted another Final Burn Port called FBA4PSP (http://neosource.1emu.net/forums/index.php?topic=962.0) by Oopsware, confused yes i am too. It does seem both are seperate ports so ill continue to post about both :)

Heres the release info:


a port of FB Alpha now work on PSP in full speed. for the M68K some slow, i replaced it with NJEmu's C68K, and fix zet.cpp let it use MAME Z80 . the sourcecode and EBOOT.PBP can be download from oopsware.ys168.com

PSP1000 has 20MB memory (PSP2000 has 50MB) and haven't mmap to cache swap file , so it can't play large ROM currently

Anything mame related thats new or updated on the psp sounds good to me! :)

I'll stick with NJ's badboys untill this is perfected but it will be nice to eventually have them all in one emu.

Yeah, it doesnt have sound yet.

@wraggster this emu and the fba v0.01 is the same.
The original developer is the team OopsWare (see in the emu menu).
Mctuna is only a turkish user who have posted the emu in another forum ;)

Does this run the Misc games(hence not the cps1,2,neogeo systems) that PC fba also supports? like early Irem games and stuff like Guwange?

Check the gameslist that comes with the download,Guwange is on it but i haven't tried it.. I've tried Dodonpachi and it seems to work fine. Great emulator, keep up the good work! :D

I've tried this and the other FBA with Donpachi, Dodonpachi, ESP Ra de, Dangun, and Guwange, but the only one that even loads is Donpachi. :( I wonder what is wrong

no need, when they improve the emu, all we need its the well known cache system... with that, the emu should work flawlesly like NJ's emus (i REALLY love the way the CPS2 and NeoGo emu works)...

lets just wait for the more mature versions of this new emu.... im sure they will improve it.

So I'd say they will sort this out for the phat just like NJ did with his fantastic emu's. :thumbup:
