Heres what ritz has posted about his game:

sonic is the development name for my homebrew nintendo ds 3d game project. some notable features include skeletal animation, static & dynamic point lights, shadow volumes, skyboxes, picking, gravity and object & environment collision detection. in the near future i will build the game logic, a.i., scripting and i hope to include an interactive 3d map builder for easy world creation and object & creature placement

Wow! Great job! It's one of the best looking DS games I've seen! I made a gameplay video of it and put it on YouTube

Nice, there aren't many 3D homebrew projects and this looks about as good as a commercial game. This remind's me of Payk's wolveslayer game http://payk.drunkencoders.com/ . You guys should try to start a company or something, this is truly amazing.

All these models come from the PC game Neverwinter Nights. It would be awesome if someone could port it, especially considering the DS can graphically take it.

well, he said he would only use those models until he can make his own original ones.

that looks amazing. i am looking forward to this game and i think that when it is finished he should make it open source. if he does make it open source it will greatly contribute to the homebrew community. i could see all kinds of games coming out of this.

It looks good, to bad my DS isn't homebrew enabled.

You might even drop the "homebrew" out of the question. Of course I'm not a fan of "super deformed" or playing characters that look like little kids, like most DS games use.
The one to watch for me.

The way the background fades out and has just the polygons sometimes reminds me of Morrowind.

... ... Morrowind DS? :O

That would be godly if it could be done; but I doubt that will come to fruition. Morrowind was a lot more demanding than this.

Yes, a port of Morrowind may be impossible... Still, a homebrewn semi-clone would be quite possible.

And with graphics like these, it'd just be sweet.

morrowind would be amazing w/ graphics like these...

It doesn't work on my M3 Perfect CF (slot2).
I've the latest firmware and game manager, and I Dldi-patched the nds file.
There's the upperscreen with a loading number, and it freeze when it reach 50...Too bad.
