Why.... SONY quit.
PSP 2000 was money waisting enough.
Man up and give us some good firmware updates for PSP1000s.

If they do release a PSP-3000, it should include a second analog stick for PS1 games, maybe optional for newer games.

^because the games that need 2 nubs wouldnt be playable on other psp's

some ppl are stupid. sony knows we want it, wait 3 years for the next sony handheld that undoubtedly will have twice as many nubs

^because the games that need 2 nubs wouldnt be playable on other psp'sThe (ps1) games that need two nubs are very few in number.

I don't recall that it does anything in pops now but provide awkward access to L2 & R2.

having 2 nub's on the PSP-300 would work with regards to the backward-compatibility issues.....desighn the games for the older PSP-1000/2000 systems, and just have the right nub emulate the face buttons ([],O,A,X) most (if not all) of the first person shooters use the face buttons like another joystick anyways, so in theory it should work.
