I have read that some people use DVD Decrypter in order to get the main dvd movie off the disc and then convert it.
However if you use DVD Shrink 3.1 you can get just the movie bit and shrink it down BEFORE it is put through 3GP Converter if you want to download it goto www.dvdshrink.org it is free to download.
The other plus side to this is that you can use it to create an ISO image of the disc and then copy it to a standard dvd disc including all the special features and menu's and stuff. It has its own built in decryption codes to get rid of the copy protection in dvd films the only one I've found that doesn't work is Resident Evil - Apocalypse
