Early this morning finally got a port of Frodo the c64 emulator running on my Wii, The display is the only thing i've got working so far, still have to figure out filesystem, keyboard/joystick controls. But thought I'd share what I've been working on lately.

here is a test binary if anyone wants to try it out.

Thanks,
Troy(GPF)

Haha, so you're doing it yourself now. Well, that's great, good luck. I hope you get to run everything smoothly. At least I guess speed and the resolution isn't an issue like on other platforms (I hope you enabled original non-interlaced output, i.e. not 640x480)

This is very great news! I love to play old games on my mobile and will love to play them on the Wii.

If you don't know it you better not try it ;)

If you know how to install and use "homebrew channel" you will find the way...

I give congrats to you GPF you've stayed strong in the seen for alongtime but you always stick to all consoles not just one. Man you work hard and this emulator looks amazing i just think it'll be difficult for me to mod the wii i dont want to destroy it seen as how its hard to find Wii's at this time.

Nice work!

Could you post the source code for this somewhere? I'm also interested in a frodo Wii port.

I would like to ask you for the progress in implementing Frodo to Wii.

Anything new? :)

So can we expect a new test build anytime soon? Super excited for this.

I couldn't bear waiting so I ported Frodo myself :-)

The wiki page at wiibrew has more on it, including source and binary: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Frodo, and I started a thread on it on this forum here: http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=178591

Awesome, one day I will finish my port .... :)

I just realized I talked to you a couple years ago, about your cibyl framework and now see you have a Frodo port for that too.

Yeah, but that's too slow for general consumption, at least on phones I've tried it on. So without further optimization it mostly acts like the-worlds-most-complex-screensaver. :-)

Anyway, I'm looking forward to your Frodo port!
