BusinessWeek recently scored an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto—a man that needs little introduction here on Joystiq. Miyamoto again emphasized Nintendo’s goal for the Revolution: “I want families to play video games together.” Hence the TV remote-like design of the controller—an object that everyone is familiar with; an object that people won’t be urged to “stash away.”
Is it possible that family-style gaming will become a hallmark of the future? Is anyone considering a Revolution purchase in an effort to connect with the kids? Any kids thinking of using the Revolution to encourage the folks to start gaming more?
