Eluan (http://code.google.com/p/quake-gamecube/) has released a new version of the port of Quake for the Nintendo Wii and Gamecube, heres whats new:

* Shouldn't freeze - ever.
* Pressing 1 (or Z in the gamecube controller) shows scores
* Power button now works (forgot about it :P)
* Model bounding box fixes (no more dissapearing models)
* HBC-ready
* Command line easy to manage - still needs a frontend for the end user, though.

can anyone tell me exactly how to load add on packs with this, iv heard its possible.

also, considering half life was a mod of quake and uses the same file types as far as i can see, how hard would it be to get that working on the wii. it could be so good, especially if it had the same nunchuck controls for the crowbar as the half life 2 wiimote mod. Pleeeeeese can someone sort this out.

You can't have HL, it is not a mod of Quake. It uses a combination of the Q1 and Q2 engines as well as some custom code. Unless VALVe releases the engine source you can't have HL, technically. However, if you can find people willing to invest the time and effort you can convert all the resources and have someone code the gameplay and AI to a Quake mod compatible with this.
