Unless you've been living under a rock recently I'm sure you guys have heard of the new war in Georgia.

Whose at fault? Is the Russian invasion justified?

I read that Georgia attacked pro-Moscow villages in South Ossettia which provoked Russia to attack Georgia.
But, as far as I am aware this is Georgia attacking Georgia.
Russia shouldn't get involved, whether these villages are pro-Moscow or not. It would be like Germany getting involved if Belgium started attacking it's own.
Personally, I believe it has more to do with the oil pipeline that runs through that part of Georgia, which was paid for by the US. This means that Georgia have no need to look to Russia for distribution.

I read that South Ossetia stirred up trouble in some Georgian villages, causing Georgia to fight back and capture the capital.
But the vast majority of South Ossetians have Russian passports, causing Russia to defend Ossetians people.

In Moscow they recently announced a cease-fire, but Georgians villages are still getting bombed by Russia.
There also seems to be fighting between Abkhazians and Georgians.

Don't get me wrong, I don't condone Georgia's actions. But South Ossetia is not part of Russia, so it doesn't concern them.

I guess Russia feels it has to get involved since there are a lot of Ossetians (like 95%)that have Russian passports and therefore go into Russia and maybe even support its economy in some way. Still, South Ossetia attacked Georgia first...

Georgia attacked first in South Ossetia!
All of that shows on CNN and BBC it is not true,
In England and other countries, U.S. allies, specifically in the news do not speak the truth.
The truth is that Mikhail Saakashvili considers its territory of South Ossetia, but South osetiya does not want to be a part of Georgia and Georgia decided to destroy the entire population of South Ossetia to seize it.
Here you the truth.

That's interesting to me why Americans are supplying arms to Georgia? (Georgia also bought weapons from Ukraine, Israel)
Why Americans trained Georgian soldiers?
And I am sure that the BBC and CNN showed almost only accident Georgian president who says that we allegedly attacked Georgia, South Ossetia A pro almost no information, although in the city sthinvali 2000 people were killed and completely destroyed the city!
And what is happening in Georgia? She practical purposes!

It would be nice to know the truth from any side, if georgia did attack its own people then russia do have the right to attack back, however if i was russia`s pm i would have posted it all first and then taught them a lesson
