Well, after reading this site, I finally did it! I dug my Dreamcast out of my closet and dusted it off, but I'm having a problem!
I burned a copy of DreamSNES on a CD-R and it is not working.
The Sega Corporation License with the Homebrew is on it, and the PIKE Technology splash screen loads, but the Dreamcast reboots after that. This is what I did to create the CD:
1.) Downloaded DreamSnes ZIP file.
2.) Downloaded Selfboot.exe.
3.) Copied the "c:\dreamsnes\cd" folder to "c:\dreamsnes".
4.) Copied a bunch of roms to the rom folder.
5.) Copied a bunch of MP3s to the sounds folder.
6.) Used selfboot.exe to create a CDI image of the c:\dreamsnes" directory.
7.) Used Alcohol 120% (trial version) to burn the CDI image on the CD-R at 20X write speed.
8.) Took CD-R, put into dreamcast, booted.
Any idea what I did wrong? The splash screens come up fine, but after PIKE spalsh screen the dreamcast reboots and gets stuck in an endless loop.
This is my first Dreamcast burn.
