Neumann (http://www.neoflash.com/forum/index.php/topic,5257.0.html) has released a new entry into the Neoflash Coding Comp:


Project description: You, Captain MAOUSS, have crashed into a isolated island from which you'll have to escape.
Escape is a old-school game with no save option where exploration rules.

Controls:
Arrows / Pad : Moves on the map.
Hand 1 : Pick-up item
Hand 2 : Give / Use item
Skull : Kill
R : Music (on/off)
START : Leave the game

The production values are very high but the gameplay is.....bizarre. Is there any way to talk to the people you meet, or are your choices simply "give them an item" or "kill them"? Also, is there any way to examine each location? And what is the goal? I know you're supposed to "escape", but do you do that by continually trading items, or by killing all the enemies, or by finding an exit, or what? And what are those blocks of black static that appear in some locations? :confused:

I'm really intriuged by this game, but I'm confused by the mechanics. I think we need a good instruction manual to go with it.
