SCEE president David Reeves announced at the company's Games Convention press conference that the PSP-3000 would being shipping this Fall, boasting new hardware features over the current PSP Slim and Lite. Featuring a built-in microphone, a new, brighter LCD screen and Skype out of the box, the PSP-3000 is expected to ship to Europe in October.

Visually, the new PSP 3000 is nearly identical to previous iterations.

It will ship with eight bundles, with pack-ins featuring Harry Potter, Buzz Master Quiz and more. Each bundle will be priced at 199 Euros.

Cool, I'm glad in a way that I have no real incentive to buy this. The mic would never get used and I dare say steps have been taken to make it Homebrew-proof.

If this had some awesome new features it would have appealed instantly to my impulsive side, but as it stands I can keep my money!

If they make homebrew able to play on it I'll buy it.
I like the anti-glare screen because playing outdoors has always been a problem with the PSP.
The brighter, higher contrast screen is also really cool.

I hope they fixed the crappy video out at least a little.. Needing a plugin just to play without progressive scan and in full screen is stupid.

Let me guess:
Pandora won't work > Downgrading won't be possible > so no Homebrew (at least for a while hehe)

This "brighter screen" had better fix the terrible ghosting.

Cool, but just a built-in mic and brighter screen? hmm. I'm assuming they added better security to prevent homebrew. But knowing Dark_Alex, he'll have it cracked and running homebrew before Christmas.

I like the mic add on but that's about it. No extra ram?? Maybe a little faster processor?
