Street Fighter IV arcade cabinets have barely touched the ground in arcade centres around the world, but a potentially game-wrecking infinite combo has been discovered.

Performed with Al Fuerte, one of the game's new characters, the combo appears to be a series of simple punches - although according to forum-goers it's tougher to perform than it looks.

Infinite combos are defined as combos that a player can perform to completely kill their opponent in one go. They are also frowned upon. A bit like a mate that keeps kicking you in the shins to score a win.

We can only hope Capcom patches this out for the console versions expected out later this month.

Take a look at the combo used to win both rounds in this video (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=LaS0tduMyQo).

I really don't see how this is infinite at all. In both rounds the guy takes plenty, and the opponent is down to about half life before he executes it, and then it only seems to be repeated twice. All Street Fighter games have had moves like that where it's difficult to escape a series of them.

Infinite? I just don't see it.

I don't think CVG has ever seen the Genei Jin if they call this a "game-breaking infinite."
