Aerthel (http://forum.palib.info/index.php?topic=5590.0) has released a new version of his Project Sheratan ~ A Baten Kaitos Battle Engine for DS RPG games app:

This Project (though is not the same as before, i'm keeping the name) aims to create a Card Battle engine for RPG games on Nintendo DS, mimicking the Baten Kaitos series's card system. If you haven't played such games (shame on you! ), there are some pretty good YouTube videos like this one
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXtd26BWJwM to show how the system works. Basically, you have cards that control your characters movements and actions, and played in certain order will resultin flashing and devastating attack combos.

Instructions:
* L/R changes the music
* Touch a card to display its name
* Touch a card while holding Down (or B for left-handed players) to discard it
* Touch a pair of cards while holding Up (or X for left-handed players) to swap them
* Touch a character miniPotrait to set him/her as the "selected character"

Project Sheratan is once again one step closer to completion. New release version 0.009 has these new features:

*Created classes for management of characters. (Sprites from http://www.spriters-resource.com)
*CardTray class created for checking player's card selections and transforming them into character actions.
*Also a lot of less important changes (changed bottom-screen background and the helpBar texture, erased some debug info and a LOT of code cleaning)

To use the card tray, you first need to select which character will play next. Touch the mini portrait to select him/her. Later, you will be able to play cards by selecting them, those will go to the tray and the selected character will perform the actions according the cards you played.
