Will PictoChat work through my WiFi?

I have a wireless network in my house and was wondering if I will be able to 'chat' to other DS owners using PictoChat through it or will they just communicate with each other?

I dont think it will work if what iv herd if true even thou it should work.and your very lucky to have that in your house. im gonna have a vverry hard time playing online
