What does this tool do then guys?

With it being called a firmware launcher does that mean u can launch different firmwares when u want? Cause that would be sweet if you could

Where do you get the file-converter for the Firmware? The instructions say it can't read EPB files and it needs to be converted to a file-format... How do I do that?

chrisvenn: That's exactly what this does. MPH has been adding the actual 2.0 functions to work on his emulation program.

Lorenzo68: You need Psardumper to extract/decrypt those files.

Thanks - do you or anybody have a download link for this Psardumper program?

So I'm guessing, because nobody said anything to the contrary, GTA is still unsupported.

Too bad Sony isn't more open minded towards homebrew and emulators. The best feature the PSP has is slowly slipping away thanks to the efforts of the very company that would have benefited from it the most.

I tried the browser on 2.5, and then read over the forums at the MPH site; both confirm that everything works and goes fine until it tries to connect. The WLAN light doesnt turn on, and web browser doesnt work yet, but I am pretty sure it will soon ;D
I'll make sure with the 2.0 version later.

I finally managed to successfully boot 2.0, but I am having trouble playing AVC video from my PSP-Video9 converter... Has anyone found a way to successfully play AVC using this launcher?

Finally! This is so awsome, I just tried it and I can confirm that this works.
Just make sure you have the WLAN switch turned off before you boot up MPH Firware Launcher.
Thanks to all ;D
and MPH is my favorite coder right now this end of the year, as he has created one of the most fun, and now most useful applications in my case. And soon maybe it will work for launching UMD's as well, but the point is, the progress is astounding.
Keep up the great work.

PS- One bug I see is that it crashes on text input within a web page.
.....and it works fine on other sites, not sure what the problem is.
.....and another is that at least one site that requires a psp doesn't work
