Wraggster, thank you soo much this time for not using a capital letter in my name!
Thank you also for not copying/pasting a tiny peice of a summary. Usually whenever I release stuff on other websites, you tend to just copy part of the description and therefore, on DCEmu.co.uk, I get flamed because people do not understand what my programs are used for. You had done this about 6 times before.
It was very annoying.
Also, I do not believe this post has enough information on my release for people to actually know what it is.
Therefore, I will post more information on FanMate.

I take it this just emits sound at a certain frequency out of the psp speakers to give the "feel" of a fan.

If this is the case I must say that using this for any period will more than likely ruin your psp speakers.

If this is not the case i would be interested in hearing how you made it. ;)

Edit : I am not trying to "crap" on your release by the way. I am Just giving my opinion and warning to others about using this if it is made in the way I expect it has been. Which is no offence to you, as there is really very little options bar using high frequency sounds from the PSP's speakers in which to make an application like this.

Congrats on the idea either way, nice to see original stuff being made :)

No, it won't ruin the speaker, and no, it's not original.

### Edited out. ;) ###

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
That is completely absurd.
It would be an awful idea even if it were possible.

This program is a remake of an old Freeware game made for Palm OS 3 and higher.
Please, download and run the program or read the description before asking questions such as this.

It's a virtual fan that has 4 different speeds.

I won't be running it because I see no point in it, but there's no risk of ruining the speaker by outputting white noise unless you can boost the hardware to output intolerable levels - which you don't do from software. Plus, no it's not original, check out the release info, it's a remake of an existing app on Palm Pilot OS.

Thanks.
A misinformed first poster usually misinforms most of the other posts.
Download and try it out. It's one of my favorite programs of all time.

Thanks for this, crait :)

I'm sure there's a lot of people that would be just as confused by a PSP/DS implementation of Tricorder (http://www.jeffjetton.com/tricorder/)

crait

Thanks for that, JLsoft!
And yes, they would be completely thrown off if they saw a program like that or Gaydar on a website like this.
Faux programs like those are some of the most absurd/funniest programs out.

Tricorder would be neat ported over, or perhaps rewritten to graph when you come into a wireless hotspot, complete with the appropriate measure of beeps and chirps to specify signal strength. :P

Cool stuff. :)

You know what? That actually seems like a nifty idea.
I'm not into Star Trek or anything, but I'd be sure I could make something similar but still completely fake. Lol.

(Sorry, I didn't try to hijack the thread or anything :P)

Well-made new homebrew is always appreciated, nonsense (http://web.archive.org/web/20010411032032/headrush.net/palm/thumbscan/) or not (http://web.archive.org/web/20010411033029/minordemons.com/gaydar/)-err...need to go, the Elvis Detector (http://www.google.com/search?num=100&safe=off&q=%22Elvis+Detector%22) is going crazy O_O

What?
That's not trying to hijack my thread.
Lol.
But yeah, those are some good ideas.
I need ideas. It's just as important as feedback.

..... can i ask, what friggin good is a virtual fan? maybe if you ported me a hot sunny day to play on my psp or pc i could use the fan to go along with it. So until that hot sunny day is coded, i don't think i need a virtual fan...

I can't control the weather. That's God's job.
I can't control virtual weather. That's virtual God's job.

but the problem is, there is no virtual weather. i guess looking at a picture of a hot sunny day on my monitor is as good as coding one while using the app lol :P
