Be nice if the instructions were more complete.
The controls do not work-Screen change ect.
Can get the game to work no problem.
No joystick swap works.
will crash your psp on autoload

ataribob .... when you start the c64psp and then press the start button you will get all the instructions you need. :) :) :)

If you read the instructions carefully, they explain exactly which buttons work on which screen.

To answer your question, from the help: "Whilst the Virtual Keyboard is visible, press START to load a snapshot and SELECT to save."

I'm really impressed with this emulator and in my opinion this is the best C64 emulator at the moment.

very nice, sound is excelant, other emus should sound this clear and loud,

mercenary.t64 ( resets whilst loading )
Ghosts'n'Goblins.d64 (main sprite disapears )

not tried in pc Frodo C64 emulator

would like the VK to have a solid colored background, sometimes even moving it can be hard to see the keys...

also maybe it me but i cannot change the screen mode... Doh!

I know MagicRuss has been playing mercenary (I added the savestate so he could play it :)

Have you tried a different version? maybe a D64?

And to change screenmode, you need to press "O" whilst on the image selection screen (press "L" first)

is there somewhere that tells u which screen mode your in.. ?

urchin
December 24th, 2005, 14:23
Yeah. At the top of the image selection screen, it says which screenmode (1 - 4) you are in.

I can't get Montezuma's Revenge or Winter games to work on it :(. The only game I've had luck in getting to run is Summer Games. Great emulator though.

I can confirm that Mercenary 1 works perfectly but has to be the D64 version from c64.com.

I am now working on a compatibility list. The newsest titles to woek that did not b4 are impossible mission 1 and The last ninja 1.

Personal congrats to Urchin - A lot of effort has been put into this latest release!.

good to hear!! - i have found that alot of roms work if you find a different version. It took me for ever to find working copies of Skyfox, Impossible Mission, Raid over moscow, Elite, amongst others.....

The webiste will be updated in the new year with a full database of working titles with there respective filesnames so you guy's (and gals) know which one to go for.

There are also links on the official website http://www.urch.in/c64psp/

merry xmas to all the c64 and psp scene from team c64psp!!

those diagnols are tricky, almost impossable to play ghost and goblins... but still excellant...

urchin
December 25th, 2005, 14:20
Are you trying to play with the dpad? Diagonals can be almost impossible on some PSPs, but perfect on others. The analogue stick should be better though.

I've not tried Ghost & Goblins, but I'll try it out to see if I can improve anything. Right, gotta go, xmas dinner is ready! :D

With many platform games the psp's dpad or the analog pad are a real pain to jump in games like Giana sisters and ghosts and goblins  . Isn't it possible to make an option map the c64 joysticks UP to the psp's square or circle button ?
Anyway this emu still kicks ass :)

Nice idea! Configurability is definitely something we will be looking at in future releases.

hey there!

maybe it's a little bit stupid, but the emu isn't working on my 1,5 psp. I copied the two directories onto my psp but everytime I start the emu i get this:

Das Spiel konnte nicht gestartet werden (80020130)

I also created /PSP/C64ROMS/ and put bluemax.d64 in it, but still the same problem

Well I'm hoping that his way of implementing sound might help me for fixing the sound in my DS port of Frodo, since I've seen something about it using SDL_mixer.
