It has come to my attention that a coder who goes by the Nickname Wiigator has made an unofficial version of Gecko OS using some old GPL source code.

I just want to make it perfectly clear that I nothing to do with this release in any way, so please don't email me for support on this release.

The program has apparently been renamed to Backup Launcher so that there's no confusion.

I think this is only to inform people that the creator of Gecko OS didn't create the backup launcher. DCEmu doesn't support or discuss warez.

In wraggs first post the usbgecko link has a direct link to a site thats hosting the compiled 'backup loader' file so this is sort of advertising its out there? lol

I see no difference really to what ciper posted yesterday?? ...only that this new loader has now become open source and not an abandoned project. :eek:

I hope nuke doesnt drop geckOS becasue of this though as his program was a godsend when freeloader got locked out?
