Filmmaking catch-all site The Flux has just announced a contest for amateur cinematographers that asks them to squeeze their creativity onto the video iPod's tiny color screen. Although prizes have yet to be determined, winners will be picked in four categories: student film, indie film, family clip, and music video, with the only restriction being that entries must be shorter than 10 minutes. No professional judging here--victors will be chosen by audience votes--which means sucking up the Academy won't do squat for you. Good luck to all who decide to enter, although you'll stand little chance against our super-condensed 10-minute version of Citizen Kane.
