Black screen....almost! please help!

Ive had my DC since the release some years ago and I just love the machine! and now it doesnt work as it should :(

Well everything started about a year ago with the reset problem and some weeks ago I desided to give it a try and find the problem.(dont ask why I waited so long :o ) Then i found this great site and found the solution to my problems. Everything worked and I could play again! But some weeks later something else happened. A got a black screen but still not! The screen is all black but I can still see the contours of everything in the game.
I tried to find any thread about it but couldnt find anything.

If anyone knows anything about this please tell me!

If you've had it since it was released it could simply be displaying only a black screen because it's so old.

Do you see darkened colours that are distorted? and the refresh rate is too high? (rolling picture).

If so then I would give up, I had a DC like that after a botched VGA mod. I spent weeks trying to find the problem, and never did. I assumed an IC or possibly the PVR2 were damaged, therefore unrepairable.

In short; buy a new DC.
