features
The game is split into three modes, single play, multi play and a training mode.
Instead of changing the courses itself in the single play mode, the difficulty level is manipulated by the barrage of weapons that in turn changes the courses.
In multi-player mode, compete by flying the same course with your friend and see who collects more points. There is also a “bond mode” in multi-play, but it is still in development. Be sure to check back soon for more information.
You can set difficulty levels, your planes, remaining lives, bomb stock and auto bombs and practice in training mode. Train and devise strategies to score high marks or take down tough bosses in this mode.
If you satisfied some hidden requirements in the game, you can turn on a panel called the EVAC report where you can save, load or exchange replay data. This panel features a question and answer section called “Tell me! IKD-san!” with Ketsui's developer.
You can also distribute the demo version to your friends through the wireless networking facility.

description
Ketsui Death Label is a vertical scroll shooter that combines environmental problems, warfare with the Kamikaze spirit. The popular gaming system from its arcade predecessor is reused and the boss battles are upgraded in this DS version.

People have been polluting the environment since the late 20th century, global warming is getting so severe that in 2054, the sea level has risen so much that many coastal areas have been flooded. Although it is not the time to engage in large scale conflicts anymore, due to the loss of land, another global scaled war erupted.

The battles are getting more intense every year and this is caused by a weapon export company EVAC Industry (shortened to EI from now on). Since the company is the one reaping benefits off this war, they are not about to give up their profits no matter how many times the United Nations negotiated with them.

When a ban on weapon importing fails, to stop the war, United Nations decided to use brute force as their last measure. UN secretly organized an armed force and masqueraded it as an international rebel group. The objectives of this army is to destroy every plant and weapon belonging to the EI and to delete all evidence of UN's military intervention.

Traces of UN's intervention include the members of the armed forces as well, therefore even if they succeed in destroying EI, these members have to sacrifice themselves through death. To compensate their sacrifices, UN promised every member that their any wish will be granted.

4 young people are enlisted into the force, sustained by their wills to realize their dreams, they were sent to fight for a brighter future that they would probably never see.

It's really nice to finally be able to play this Cave shooter! I just don't understand way it's on the DS  It's a crazy bullet dodging shooter on a tiny screen. This would've been more suitable for the psp with it's widescreen. I just think there might be too much going on for that small of a screen on the ds. It's probably using both screens for tate mode which I feel would make it more of a pain. It's a Cave shooter though, that I have never played yet. So it's a must buy.
