Dborth (http://code.google.com/p/fceugc/) or Tantric as he is known on DCEmu has released a new version of his Nes Emulator for the Nintendo Wii and Gamecube

Heres the release details:


FCE Ultra GX is a modified port of the FCE Ultra 0.98.12 Nintendo Entertainment system for x86 (Windows/Linux) PC's. With it you can play NES games on your Wii/GameCube. Version 2 is a complete rewrite based on code from SNES9x GX.

We are always looking for more volunteers to help with coding, write documentation, translations, or anything. Contact us if you wish to help.

So, does this play Super Mario Bros, from World 1-1 as opposed to 0-1 like it used to? Because I'm still waiting for that....

really good!

the best improvement is the "PAL Timing", now we can use european rom with the good speed thanks!!

That more has to do with the rom. I've found it's much easier to find a clean Duck Hunt/Super Mario Brothers combo rom on the interwebs instead, which I've yet to have a problem with on any emulator.

Regarding the emulator, it's nice to see such frequent updates :)
