Can't remember if it was Super Mario Bros. (NES) or Castlevania (NES)...they were the first two games I had for that console and that was the first console I owned that games had a definite ending.

LOL...I remember being able to go through Castlevania 3 times w/out losing a single bar of health.

This is a though one, this was a long time ago
I think it was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 on the NES but I could only beat it with my younger brother helping me, I was like 6 years old back then, he was 5

It made me remember that I've always kinda sucked at gaming, LOL, still I enjoy it very much, I do it all the time but I don't seem to get better haha, well except for Tekken or other fighting games where I kick ass.

Contra, way back in 89'. Thank you, "UUDDLRLRBA"! Now I can do it in 1 life, so I guess I have gotten a little better over the years.

has to be one of those mono color lcd games. pre tiger electronic games. You just had to move side to side avoiding incoming objects. The game would stop at 9999 points.

hrm for me the first one was probably like super empire strikes back but i believe it was on a pc emulator of the snes so i ended up cheating and using gamesave files to constantly load my game over and over...
for a long time after that, many years i didnt really focus on trying to beat a game...
but i believe the first time i actually tried hard enough and succeeded was like Metroid Fusion on my old GBA SP. I remember feeling so accomplished every time I beat it and remembering how I had done it about 7 or 8 times. lol.

The first game I ever beat was MegaMan 2, about five years before I somehow lost the box (or boxes to many of my NES titles).

I got completely hooked on arcade Operation Wolf on holiday as a kid and spent a fortune trying to complete it, everytime i see those machines now i feel like throwing a brick through it for giving me my first taste of addiction and spoiling my holiday.
