Hi All,

PSPIRC is a basic IRC client for the PSP
(see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Relay_Chat )

* What's new in this version ? *

- Finally fix issue with "Home -> Exit" !
- Add a built-in editor to edit commands & words list
(command.txt and word.txt files)
- Add eboot music from NeXuS
( see http://www.jamendo.com/en/artist/nexus )
- Can now return back to Wifi menu
(No need to restart pspirc to connect to another hotspot)
- Bug fix in battery level display

* Credits and license : *

It is mainly based on the IRC engine written by Danzel and the user interface i wrote for PSPSSH.

The IR keyboard support is based on the work of Harald Fielker.

If you like previous Hookbott graphics you can still download them here :

Big thanks to Delight1 for her graphics, help, support, ideas, comments etc ... :)

This software is distributed under GNU V2 License, see GPLV2.txt file for all details and information about it.

It has been developed on linux for Firmware 1.5 and 5.0-m33 (FAT & SLIM)
and for the IR keyboard part it has been tested using a Targus Universal IR Wireless keyboard.

How to use it ? Everything is in the README.txt file.

zx-81 can you please add blowfish and ssl support? Most channels I'm in are required to use blowfish and ssl. Thanks

SSL is a good suggestion, I am on a network where its recommended for all users but I have never heard of Blowfish before so it does not ring a bell here. I too have a recommendation for a new feature, an ignore feature similar to what clients like mIRC and xChat have on the PC and other platforms. In some channels its almost a necessity given that trolls or people who just do nothing but agitate others show up just to cause trouble. On a positive note, I am impressed with the IRC client otherwise and think it makes good use of the PSP's processing power

Would really like to try this out but I seem to have an issue.

I fill out all the details, click connect and it goes to the console tab and says 'resolving' at the top. Nothing else happens and if i try search for channels it says "error sending data".

It connected fine to my router on startup and I am able to use the router for normal web surfing on the PSP.

I've tried earlier versions too but currently have the latest one loaded.

Using M33 5.0 cfw

Thnx

Love the app it seems to be the only real irc app for the psp. I would however like to see a qwerty keyboard instead of the current one getting use to the analog stick is slow and frustrating. Also when i connect to rizon i try to setup my on connect script to identify me to my nick and channel automatically but i always seem to get errors. PRIVMSG, MSG and Query, with or with a / in front of the command just produce an error for me saying the command does not exist.
