FFVII works great with 3.71 pops. VIII and IX just wont run for me. I am trying to get my own burned copies working, so they are PAL. Any list I have ever seen only suggests firmware for NTSC versions, so I tried those anyway, but I can't get either of them running. Frustrating, because I would love to.

Anyone else know what firmware I should pop to?

I've only ever tried the NTSC versions.
I ran FFVII NTSC perfectly on 3.71 pops and FFIX NTSC perfectly without pops but that was back in my psp's 3.03ish days.
I've never tried FFVIII, but I hear that it works (at least NTSC) on 3.71 pops as well.\\

Sorry, I can't help you with PAL versions.
