The Makers of PSPonTV (PSP to TV Adapter) sent me some rather interesting news earlier that isnt on their website, heres the info from the email/press release:

First, the most exciting thing to happen this year for us may be the SEGA licensed TV game systems. We hope you are equally excited, and that you will try to secure an agreement with us ASAP.

SEGA LICENSED DIRECT "Plug & Play" TV-GAME
Since the HK Toy Fair finished, we have finalized the official license from Sega to manufacture many Sega licenced TV game systems and a hand-held console (like Gameboy).

Until now, we have nearly 50 licensed Sega games that you can choose from! Many of them are Sonic the Hedgehog and other big name titles! Our product design is done by a famous Japanese product designer, and resembles the Sega & Sonic style outlook. You will be quite impressed by our current in-house designs.

You can choose from either 10 in 1 or 20 in 1 versions of the "Plug & Play" Sega TV Game systems.

This means you can get the list and choose 10 or 20 games to put inside each game console. You can do less than 10 but the cost would be the same as 10 games. But for example, you can create a Sega Sports game system just for sports games, or a Sega Sonic game system just for Sonic games...however remember the price stays the same for 1 up to 10 games.

Please see the attached photo "thumbnail" of the clamshell packing, so you can have an idea of the quality for our in-house designs. Anyone wishing to sign an NDA, are welcome to view our full size in house designs immediately.

You are welcome to discuss your own tooling design with us, as we will be happy to do the custom tooling or you can accept our in-house designs which are also very attractive. We can offer some exclusive designs and configurations for many countries, so you are welcome to ask for exclusive distribution of our designs if your company has large enough sales channel to support the exclusivity.

You are welcome to request a quote based on your estimated quantity order, and the 10 or 20 game systems. The retail price should likely be up to US$29.95 for the 10-in-1 game systems, and up to US$39.95 for the 20-in-1 game systems, but this is up to your market to decide.

We are developing a Sega hand held system also (like Gameboy), which will contain 20 games of your choice and have a high quality 2.5 inch LCD screen. For an additional cost, we can create a cartridge based version as well, so you can have 20 games inside plus sell multi-game cartridges also. Due to some exclusivity being discussed for some countries already, please rush to tell us ASAP if you wish to order the hand held console system for your country. Our in house design for the Hand-Held system is similar to the Sonic design of the plug-and-play TV game system, so you can expect it to be very attractive design.

So it seems that Asian Toy Source (http://www.asiantoysource.com/home.php) are going to make a new Sega Hand Held System that will play 20 game cartridges. This is going to be an interesting year for Sega fans.

Nice. Sounds like Sega is licensing its oldies to just about anyone who asks -- that's a good thing, in my opinon. Assuming this thing is compatible with most games, it won't be long before someone like www.benheck.com figures out how to load this with whatever we want to play.
