DCEmu Awards 2008 - Dreamcast Coder of the Year

This isnt a serious awards thing but a way to guage public reaction as to what the people here at DCEmu think is the best in each category for the Year of 2008, ill let each category run until the end of Dec 31st to see who has won, theres no prizes but it will be interesting to see whats the winner voted exclusively by the members of DCEmu.

So one vote each.

This release has been created to provide all
the necessary tools to encode Sofdec video for
use with the Sega Dreamcast.

Enhancing source-code from the Katana SDK R11b,
I have created the first SFD player to support
playback controls, as well as increased resolution
for playback of video up to 704x480p.

Further optimising the source-code, available
memory is completely dedicated to video playback:
-16mb Main System RAM
-8mb Video RAM
-2mb Audio RAM
Video playback is smoother and may handle higher
bitrates than previous SFD players on DC.
