Why not go to 5.00M33-4??

Hellcat's Recovery Flasher v1.50 will do the trick.

Devhook is a thing of the past.
The current thing to do is use a custom firmware which is just like official firmware except that it allows you to use homebrew.

The newest version is 5.00 m33-4, but you need to go:
1.50 > 3.52 m33 > 3.52 m33-4 > 5.00 m33 > 5.00 m33-4

Good luck! (It's not hard)

The newest version is 5.00 m33-4, but you need to go:
1.50 > 3.52 m33 > 3.52 m33-4 > 5.00 m33 > 5.00 m33-4

Or he could use a Pandora battery with DCv8 and go straight to 5.00 M33-4. ;)

I guess I'm just and old timer and like to do things the old way.

Well, your way doesn't require the battery, just more steps. So they both have their +s and -s. :)
