I-Hacked.com have posted a guide to taking apart a PS2 Controller to get a better Analog stick for your PSP. Heres the guide --> http://www.i-hacked.com/content/view/211/62/

Thats all very well but if you dont have a PS2 Controller handy and you dont want to mess about, then check out my Function Crystal Cover Review (http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/FunctionCrystalCover-review.shtml) where you actually get a replacement stick anyway and much better too.

Much easier than messing about taking controllers apart ;)

Wraggy... liksang... :( this is cheaper!!

I know you're a close affiliate with liksang, so can you start upselling their more useful products, like this and stop writing biased reviews for them, like the whole datel drive thing. You were far too generous in that review. It was the shoddiest, slowest, most useless piece of overpriced crap in the world. Not only does it ruin the portability of your psp, it ruins homebrew as well, as half of it either takes five minutes to load, or it just crashes your psp! I had mine on ebay after a week of owning one. I bought 2 2gb sticks at £60 each with the money I made back. There. Rant over. Sorry :(
