News from StreetskaterFU:

It seems SONY didn't like Datels Lite Blue Tool which switched the PSP in a pseudo service mode. Datel just announced that SONY uses the power of the law against them and their "hacktool" now.
Here a datel quote:


Due to legal action by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe we are currently not able to fulfil orders for the Lite Blue Tool Battery. Any orders received for this product have not been processed and no charges have been made. We will inform customers about availability of this product when this situation has been resolved.

It's rumoured that SONY do this because they have information about Datel used parts of original SONY source codes to get the battery working.

Well, at least it makes sense this time.
The Lik Sang lawsuit was ridiculous, though.

Datel are thieving scum, this is just Karma catching up with them.

Even the hackers, where some people think what they do is wrong usually have the sense to avoid original source code, but Datel must have s**t for brains if they thought they could get away with it. I thought they were just stealing from the homebrew community, but a big fine would serve them right for this stupidity of the very highest level

man datel not only produces mostly crap products, and steals from the homebrew scene, but now they have sunk to outright thievery

Where on datel's site do they say they are getting handed a lawsuit? Smells like a publicity stunt to me.
