Hi,

I'm looking for a serious PSP-Storage solution.
But what i've come across hasn't been tested yet for what i wish to do with it.

It's a PhotoFast Pro Duo MicroSD Adapter

So far i've only found one that has been TESTED to 2x16GB MicroSD (So 32GB Total)

I've been looking arround and found a 64GB MicroSD Card in China..

Is there perhaps anyone that has tested this PhotoFast card with 2x64GB MicroSD???

Can PSP handle 128GB?
Can the Card Handle 128GB?
Does it have any effect on Battery Life?
If this is not a realistic option, then what is (without going external, all descent storage must be inside the PSP enclosure)

I wanna say that the Adapter only goes to 32-64ishGB range.

as to what i have heard, current PSPs are not capable of the 128GB, though this is sony so a breakthrough can come anytime.

i see what you did there.......
Why would you want 128 gb on your psp anyway?
Are you trying to download the internet?

i believe that you can have up to 2tb of psp space using a patch D_A released ( i dont know if thats what the limit is...but i know its pretty huge )

right now in the current market.... you would get the duo microsd adapter with 2x16gb cards giving you a total of 32gbs, however it will cost you around $120-$150 for that setup

the only other suggestion i can give is to USBhost/NEThost your psp... albit the downside to that is youll always need to be near the computer you are doing so with... but then you are not limited to just 32gb :)

the only other option i can think of is that if you have the soldering/coding skills... you can build a host controller via PSP's SIO or USB to interface with a USB Harddrive... and then make a plugin/driver for both psp and the host controller so that it knows how to interact with each other... albit i have no idea how effective this method works... it could be slow or it could be on target.... i haven't researched enough into the hardware to do such a setup :)

i hope that answers your question :D

edit:

forgot to mention... if you use the host controller idea.... you can make a internal version... and that would be put a 1.8" hdd inside the psp ( by ripping out the umd drive and possibly creating a new back or spacing it out to fit ) and fitting the host chip which would be very very small somewhere inside of it. that way its all "inside" persay

howerever then comes a power issue, you would then need a power source for both host controller and harddrive... tapping into the psp's might not be enough and if it was would zap the battery in no time, thus youd need a external batery pack of some sort.

That's really too much space, I really can't see the point of having that much on a handheld that only has 5 hour battery life.

I have a 16Gb microsdhc and the adapter, I'm thinking about getting another 16Gb card so it will go up to 32Gb. I think that would be it for me, cause right now I've put almost everything I wanted on it.

Having the extra space will be very nice but it's only purpose is that I wouldn't need to buy another memory stick ever again.
