Just a quick question,

if I install yellow dog 'whatever version it is" on my ps3
will I be able to emulate the ps2 on my non bc ps3 ?

more to the point, will I be able to throw my legit ps2 games into my ps3 and play them via some sort of linux magic?

No, you won't.

Any linux distro installed onto the PS3 will be limited to stop any 3D processes (no rsx), so it barely runs SNES.

That's one reason I won't buy a PS3....

They could provide such an awesome/easy environment to make games for their console, but Sony locked the door on that. Who wants to spend a ton on a devkit???
